Weekly Programs
Not sure if you are ready for a full summer? Try our Learn-to-Paddle Program
Our weekly Learn-to-Paddle (LTP) Programs provide all the basics of sprint/canoe kayak in a fun and safe environment. No special equipment or experience is required, however we do require you to bring your own life jacket to ensure proper fitting.
Programming is designed for kids ages 5 to 15. Join for 1-week, 2-weeks or more... and you will have the option to transfer into our Full Summer program and race with friends by paying the difference for the full program. Programming is suitable for children that have already completed a full year at school.
2024 JumpStart LTP Program Dates:
Session 1 - July 2-5
Session 2 - July 8-12
Session 3 - July 15-19
Session 4 - July 22-26
Session 5 - July 29-August 2
Session 6 - August 6-9
Limited Spaces in our LTP Programs
Our weekly programs are capped at 20 participants each session to ensure a small coach to athlete ratio. Also note that weekly participants are not eligible to participate in racing regattas without paying mandatory CKC/ADCKC racing fees by the end of July. After completion of any session, participants may switch into the full summer program by paying the balance of the full summer program and the fundraising fee, minus the cost of the weekly sessions.
Please contact our Head Coach fastkayak@gmail.com or our Treasurer treasurer@pisiquid.com to find out more about our weekly LTP programs.
Register early to reserve your spot in the program, as spaces always fill up quickly!
Weekly Programs
Like our full summer program, weekly LTP programs offer paddlers the chance to experience all types of canoes and kayaks, plus lots of fun dryland games.
As an all-inclusive Community Sports Centre, kids will spend their days on-premises playing soccer, frisbee, flag football, basketball, indoor rowing and gym; in addition to the time they will spend canoeing and kayaking.
No experience is necessary for this program - it is targeted at beginners who are trying the sport for the first time.
